I’m sorry, perma… what?
Hello everyone :) we start a new week so that mean is time for a new
blog! Well, today I will talk about permaculture, which is based on imitation
of a natural ecosystem with the aim of generate food.
“7 Food Forests in 7 Minutes with Geoff Lawton” is a video that you can see in youtube, is about the importance of permaculture nowadays without deteriorating the environment. Lawton explains the importance of the relationship between food and forest. In a world where pollution, poverty and famine increases, the stabilization of an ecosystem that gives us food and is able to sustain itself help us stay alive.
In summary video
shows us through 7 stages how an ecosystem develops from its beginnings. The
first part consists of seeding soil necessary for plants to grow conditions.
Then we see in the next stages how plants will have been growing and where new
species like mosses appear. Finally, after a long time, we have a stabilized
ecosystem that provides us with food and other materials to survive.
I had no idea about
this, at least not from the point of view of Lawton. We know the importance of
the ecosystem, as well as providing food, gives us clean air and water. We
should be more conscious our surroundings as it is the only place where we live....
for now.
